I have SD card problem, my Nexian Journey can't mount the SD card after installing CyanogenMod7 Build 9... after I choose mount, it always say "Preparing the SD Card" and after that it says "SD card is now safely to remove" ... It's like that no matter how much I try, even I try mounting from recovery mode, after the home screen came out, it says "SD card is now safely to remove"... Please resolve this, Thx

@Xlink,
You are NOT the first person to experience this bug. This issue of corrupting the SDcard has surfaced on CM gingerbread builds.
I have had this problem with CM gingerbread build 7 and 5. Build zero is working fine.

The fix is to reformat the SDcard. Ofcourse you will loose all the data inside it.
We cannot raise a bug against it as it is not a stable release.
Other ROMs both official and firetrap/superbler does not have this issue.

Ok. Thx, Android. I'll try it later... I use recovery to recover my Nexian Journey to Eclair but it always stuck at NEXIAN logo... :( now I'm searching how to fix it. If u know how to fix it, share it pls :)
thx.

@Xlink,
Recovery works most of the time. Unfortunately, one cannot guarantee that recovery will recover from the backup everytime, especially when the SDcard gets corrupted :(.

The best bet is try reinstalling any factory/official ROM afresh and then recover your old ROM if you have taken a backup.
Bottom line, always backup your SDcard and the phone data before experimenting with any ROM.

@Sayan,
There are few recovery tools which can recover some of the data. Please note that these tools NOT free. Your can try your luck.

@Android,
Thanks, the second problem fixed :D
Now I'll try formatting the SD card, it's still booting now.
And for formatting SD card, I have to format it from the phone or from computer?
And what driver I have to use? bcoz the driver from Nexian Journey (Eclair 2.1) can't detect CM7.

Thanks.

Unless you want to partition your SDcard, it makes no difference whether you do it from PC or Phone.

If you consider partitioning your SDcard(for swap and App2SD), its better, you do it from the phone in recovery mode with a recovery image which has support for partitioning.
You can use this recovery image and install it using fastboot mode.
http://boston-mania.blogspot.com/2011/01/alpha-recovery-amon-ra-orange-boston.html
Put the phone in fastboot mode(power + Red + vol down).
Connect phone to PC.
Go to the directory of fastboot in command prompt on PC and run
fastboot flash recovery boston_Recovey_Amon_ra.img
fastboot reboot

@Xrink,
For a CM backup you may have to use clockworkmod recovery to restore. You can directly install clockworkmod recovery 2.5.1.3 using rommanager from market. Use this to restore the backup.
