[Help] Step by Step guide to Froyo on Z71 Variants

Here Is a Quick Tutorial about updating your Commtiva Z71 variant to a Stable Froyo Rom from the Stock 2.1 (Eclair)

 for Commtiva Z71, Apanda A60, Chinavision  Excalibur, Cincinnati Bell Blaze, Gigabyte Gsmart G1305, Motorola XT502, Muchtel A1, Optimus Boston, Orange Boston, Spice Mi-300, Vibo A688 and Wellcom A88 

STEPS

1. PREPARE YOUR SELF : That do you really want to play with your android .....as this thing brings a lot of new options to you.....but on the other side it is dangerous too.You May BRICK your Phone.

2. Download & Install SUT ( Software Updater Tool ) On Your PC : Download

3. Download the Firetrap Jellybean 2.2.1 ROM : Firetrap Jellybean V2.2.1 + App2sd+Dalvik on phone

4. Extract the Zip File

5. Switch Off Your Phone & restart it in Download Mode : Volume Key Up + Power + Red Button

6. Connect Your Phone To PC

7. Run SUT and Browse for the Extracted Nbo File.

8. Click Next and Select Wipe User Data.

9. Again Click Next now it should say FLASHING ROM

10. It should take Around 220 Sec...CAUTION: DO NOT DISCONNECT INBETWEEN

11. Now your phone will rebbot in Recovery Mode

12. In Recovery Press the Reboot Now Option

AND VOILA !!!!!!

So you are telling to install jellybean.
For usage wise which one is more flashy and showy, jellybean or phantom froyo?
And if battery performance is the first priority then which ROM do you suggest?

I did not manage to find out, which languages are supportet by the roms.

- JellyBean
- Phantom
- original Foxconn
- Apanda
- Bakpia
- SuperBler
- ...

I'm using SuperBler 4.2 since i need a german version. Do other roms contain a german translation?

alright im new to all this..do i need to root the device before performing the given instructions ?

i too am using a spice mi300...and yes you need to root the device first. i used z4root and it worked like a charm....just follow the onscreen instructions...
after rooting thus, just use the above instructions...and you would be good to go....

i have a spice Mi300 . i am from india. please tell me how to install android 2.2 froyo to my device?? what are the steps i need to follow from the start.
Presently i have android 2.1 which was given by spice..
plz plz tell....
