guys! CM will 90% NOT work on battery consumption...
there is a way to use SUPERAOSP 4.8 KERNEL with CM7 MOD , with good battery life!

Bttamega said...

How?
Can you put here the way to do that plz?
What are the steps to do after instaling the Cyanogen Mod 7 final.
Thks in advance :D

Unknown said...

oh dear...
1.Download SUPERAOSP 4.8
2.Extract boot.img from SUPERAOSP zip file
3.Replace the boot.img from CyanogenMod with this one(from SUPERAOSP 4.8 RC1)!
4.enter recovery mode and install as a normal zip file.
5.Thank me for wasting my time and explain :))

When I replace the original boot.img with the boot.img from the SuperAOSP Zipfile, I became a Errormessage during the installation.
I started the installation with the replaced boot.img in the Recovery Mode, but since a few minutes the Errormessage and the aborting from the installation is coming.

I put the downloaded cm_z71_full-40.zip on a blank SD-Card and started the installation. What can be the problem?

This Message is coming:
assert failed: write_raw_image("/tmp/boot.img", "boot")
E:Error in /sdcard/cm_z71_full-40.zip
(Status 7)

i have the same error message when i try to install with the SuperAOSP boog.img

use TOTAL COMANDER to replace the boot.img from aosp zip to cm7
and try again!

Place the boot.img from superaosp 4.8 to the root of your sdcard.

Next, reboot normally. (Important! So that there's no error later.)

Then, open Terminal Emulator.

Type the following:
su

Then press enter.

Then type the following:
flash_image boot /sdcard/boot.img

Then press enter.

Then type:
reboot

Press enter.

i recieve the same error message even if o try to install the clean cm_z71_full-40.zip file, without any modification

@madhoe: i want to ask something if you don't mind.

So, the boot.img of SuperAosp can install independently? without moving the boot.img into CM7 folder?

Just put it the boot.img in the SD card, then flash it using the way u mentioned before?

sorry, just to make sure. The terminal emulator that u mentioned. Is it from our phone?

coz, i'll try to flash it.....after I got home

thx before

It's workind in "Terminal Emulator"! Search in Programs!

I have the same problem like radubraharu88, i cant install the clean rom and cant install the rom with the replaced boot.img.

And I have a second terrible problem...my 4GB SD-Card doesnt accept from the CM7 ROM. :(
Can me anyone say why my 4GB SD-Card dont work but a 256MB SD-Card works fine?! Is a Bug there that can read only to 2GB Cards and no SDHC Cards?

@cipi:
give us your review after u installed the Aosp boot.img. Is there something different in your phone features, such as wifi connection, mobile data, etc?

how about the sd card? since i read the comments above. there are some people getting trouble with their sd card

@madhoe /@ozgur/ anybody:

I just wanna asked some questions:

1. how do i know if the Aosp boot.img already installed into my phone? Is it the kernel version on setting > about phone > kernel version will be change? Coz on my phone has written like this: 2.6.35.11-cyanogenmod rmcc@giskard #1 (i forgot the older version)

2. I don't know, I just guessing because I'm new about using the custom kernel. When we used the other kernel. Is it gonna influence the other apps? Like maybe the bugs in Aosp kernel makes error our phone. (dont get mad whoever the creator of that kernel is, Ok?) Im just trying to discuss here

3. I already installed the boot.img, let's see what happen. I'll keep post the update....

Thx Guys and you're amazing.
