Suggestion/feedback to Cyanogen team - What's the point of releasing ROM's if such ROM's each too much battery, resulting in non use of ROM's. Why waste effort? In order to have mass appreciation, battery consumption algorithm needs drastic change.Think about it.

hey, if you don't like it then don't use it. It is not easy developing ROM. CM's team will work on it, I hope so. Besides, you can combine it with superAOSP's boot.img to improve battery life, for now.

@Stellit:
- download superAosp (search for superAosp on this site)
- unzip it
- download CyanogenMod RC4+37
- open CyanogenMod RC4+37 with a zip program
- drag the boot.img from superAosp.zip and drop it in the CyanogenMod.zip window
- flash the CyanogenMod RC4+37 to your phone

@webcamlottery
thumbs up for you..

@S.Line
make sure you use the boot.img from superAOSP beta, not alpha. flash to the original ROM first, then to the CM7 (the .nb0 one) and then to the latest CM7. this is the path that I follow.

I have been using CM7 and the nightly builds as well. Found that the battery life is around 15hours. However using the Battery Booster application it has increased to 24 hours. Didn't know about this app till somebody on this site guided me. It should help everybody so I recommend you to get it.

Regarding SuperAOSP, it definately helps, however there is confusion about whether alpha works or beta. For me Alpha kernel gave problems and I stopped using the SuperAOSP kernels.

If there is anything the user community can do to profile the battery usage and assist the CM7 team, then it will be the right way to go.

@Bueller: what rom you had on the phone before flashing the Cyanogenmod 7?
